Not knowing what to expect is one of the quiet reasons people put off a first dental visit. So here's exactly what happens, start to finish, whether you booked online or walked in.

Check-in

If you booked online, we already have your details and stated concern on file — you won't repeat yourself at the front desk. If you're an HMO patient, this is when we confirm your benefit and remaining limit.

The exam

Your dentist does a full visual exam, asks about your concern and any brief medical history you shared, and — if needed — takes a closer look with the equipment in-chair. This is diagnostic, not treatment; nothing happens without your go-ahead.

Fun fact: a thorough dental exam checks more than just teeth — gums, bite alignment, and even early signs of some medical conditions can show up in your mouth first.

Your treatment plan

If treatment is needed beyond the checkup itself, your dentist walks you through a plan — what's involved, roughly how many visits, and the fee, including HMO coverage or a self-pay/installment breakdown if applicable. You decide when to proceed; nothing is assumed.

Insider tip: it's completely normal to ask for the plan in writing or to take a day to decide — we'd rather you feel confident than rushed.

Walking out

You leave with either your completed treatment for that visit, or a clear next step and date. Every treatment carries a 6-month warranty, and if it's a routine cleaning, we'll flag your next recall date automatically.
